Arkansas Governor's School
|
Arkansas Governor’s School is a four-week summer program for incoming seniors (current juniors) funded by the Arkansas State Legislature. State funds cover tuition, room, board, and materials for students. This non-credit program creates a unique experience for a select group of Arkansas’ best students. AGS offers motivated, creative students an intellectual environment unlike typical settings. Students are chosen based on their aptitudes in eight fields: Choral Music, Drama, English/Language Arts, Instrumental Music, Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Science, or Visual Arts. All students also take General Conceptual Development and Personal and Social Development classes. Interested students should see Mrs. Wilson.

Schedule changes for high school students for the 2nd semester will begin next week. You can sign up at Mrs. Wilson's door. Please note that many changes cannot be made at this time of year since most courses are full-year commitments. Specifically, for 7th and 8th grades, Art, Band, and Choir are full-year classes and will not be changed at the end of the semester. Additionally, no schedule changes will be allowed after we return from the Christmas break.
