The South Side Family Center is excited to announce it will be opening next week! This new space is dedicated to supporting our students and their families by providing helpful resources, care, and connection within our school community.

The first day it will be open is Friday, November 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Then it will be open weekly on the following days and times:

Wednesdays from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Fridays from 9:00 am - 11:00 am

The Family Center features a family pantry offering a variety of essential items to meet household needs, including:

• Nonperishable food items
  
  

• Hygiene products
  
  

• Baby products, baby food, and formula
  
  

• Laundry detergents
  
  

To ensure fairness and accessibility for all, please note the following Pantry Guidelines:

1. Eligibility: Pantry access is limited to parents or legal guardians of students currently enrolled at South Side School District. Only individuals listed on school records as parents or legal guardians will be able to use the pantry. Proof of identity is required.

2. Shopping Limits: Item limits are based on family size to help ensure that all families are served fairly. Family size may be subject to verification.

3. Bags Provided: Outside tote bags are not permitted. Bags will be provided to you according to your household size.

4.  Food Pick Up: . If you wish not to come and shop, bags can be made for you. You will be assigned a number and then able to pick it up at the administration building. Contact Julie Hicks via ParentSquare to request a pick up.

5. Confidentiality: Your name and information will be confidential and not shared with anyone.

We are excited to introduce this new resource to our South Side families and look forward to working together to meet the needs of our community. Hours of operation will be announced each week. Each family can visit the center once a week.
