Graduation Requirements 2026 and Beyond
A total of twenty – five (25) units in grades nine (9) through twelve (12) will be required for high school graduation. Only one (1) of these units may be in physical education. A unit shall be defined as credit given for a course meeting the equivalent time in minutes of a regular school period (which meets daily for a full school year), i.e., a minimum of 275 minutes per week.
Smart Core
Civics - one half (1/2) unit, Economics/Personal Finance - one half (1/2) unit, World History, U.S. History
A CPR/Stop The Bleed training is required of all students in order to graduate.
Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and choice of advanced math course
Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics
All students will be required to pass the citizenship portion of the U.S. Naturalization Exam with a 60% proficiency to graduate high school.
Core
Civics one half (1/2) unit, Economics one half (1/2) unit, World History, U.S. History
Algebra 1, Geometry, and 2 more courses that build on algebra and geometry
One unit of Biology and one unit of Physical Science and another science course
