Our school board members are volunteers who dedicate countless hours to ensuring our students have the best possible education. They make tough decisions on complex issues—from budgets and policies to curriculum and facilities—all with student success in mind. The event will take place here at the school on Wednesday, January 14th, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. To ensure a safe and positive donation experience, please remember to hydrate well and eat a hearty breakfast before arriving. Get ready to make some magical memories! We are thrilled to invite our students and their fathers (or father figures) to the Daddy Daughter Dance on February 21. We will transform the Old Gym into a dance floor from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, where you can enjoy an evening of music and a delicious Italian dinner. Tickets are $30 per couple and $10 for each additional daughter. To secure your spot for this special night, please submit your registration form and payment to the Upper Elementary office by Friday, February 13. We can't wait to see you there!

Get ready to show your school spirit! We are excited to announce the Mini Hornet Cheer Clinic for students in grades K–6. The cost is $40 per student, which includes an after-school snack at every practice and a t-shirt to keep. Please return your forms by the Friday, January 16 deadline. Practices will be held after school until 4:30 PM on Jan. 27–29, Feb. 2, and Feb. 4. The clinic culminates in a performance on Thursday, February 5, where grades K–3 will perform during the SR Girls’ halftime and grades 4–6 will perform during the SR Boys’ halftime. We look forward to seeing our future Hornets shine!

UACCM and School Counts are partnering at the Bigelow vs. South Side basketball game on February 3rd at Bigelow to award a scholarship to a student from each school. They will select one student from Bigelow and one from South Side Bee Branch, who will have the opportunity to take a three-point shot. If the shot is made, they will award a $1,000 scholarship. All the more reason to attend the basketball game and support your Hornets!
